They are usually on the weekend. If the weather forecast is looking good I'll put the meetup details up a few days before.

Can I be notified by email instead?
Yes! Many skaters prefer this. Send me an email: wellingtonstreetskate@gmail.com and I will add you to the list.
How long are the sessions?
1.5-2hr
Is there a map of the route?
Yes. Goto wellingtonstreetskate.com and click the wondermap
How many kms?
Can vary from 10-20. The meetup details will indicate which number route it is on wondermap.
What skill levels is this for?
Varies from beginner, intermediate to advanced. The meetup details will indicate usually.
Where do you skate?
Waterfront is base, and we mix it up with routes in other Welly suburbs and areas.
Who can come along?
Any wheels (inline/roller/skateboards/free/wobblyboard etc. etc.)
Can you teach me to skate? Not really. Skaters and myself can provide simple/general tips/tricks sometimes, but best to seek out qualified instructors and join their classes.
Where can I hire skates?
Fergs Kayaks for Inline to be used outdoors. Kilbirnie Recreation centre for Inline/Roller to be used inside the centre only.
What safety gear should I wear?
As much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
Where is the best place to skate in Welly?
Waterfront and the stadium concourse.
Do the meetups have a code of conduct?
Yes link to the code of conduct is on the homepage. This is to protect the safety and wellbeing of all those attending by ensuring a respectful, safe and inclusive environment for everyone. There will be no tolerance for harassing, bullying or disrespectful behavior, interactions, messages, by any attendee, in any form.
